Surfsand Real Weddings
Vito & Rindi

Vito and Rindi imagined a breezy, relaxed Fall wedding inspired by the pale hues of sand and the seafoam green of the sea. A progressive affair, the ceremony took place in the evergreen
gardens of the Haystack Gardens Retreat Center, right across from the Surfsand, followed by a celebratory toast on the garden veranda. Pictures followed on the sand in perfect
afternoon light, with stunning Haystack Rock as the backdrop. The fun continued well into the evening in the Surfsand Ballroom, with dancing and panoramic views of the coast.
Anna & Michelle

Anna and Michelle dreamed of an intimate wedding with their children as attendants and their toes in the sand. Cannon Beach’s endless expanse allowed for a space all their own to share vows, laughter, and some quiet rituals to mark their union– like collecting shells and sand for a keepsake jar. Emerging through the seagrass donning laurel and ivory rose crowns, their two daughters and son couldn’t help but get caught up in the day’s magic. For photos, the couple chose the jaw-dropping views of Ecola State Park, just minutes from the Surfsand.

Heather and Michael pictured a “mini-elopement” filled with artful details and quiet moments, surrounded by a small gathering of their closest family and friends. Our sister property, the Stephanie Inn, also in Cannon Beach, was the perfect locale. The Stephanie Inn offers elopements for parties of 10 (including the couple to be wed). Heather’s desired neutral palette of ivory, pearl pink and pale blue, set against the green-gray of Haystack Rock, made for a scene as timeless as the sea. Creative touches included keepsake s’mores and a piece of driftwood carved with their names. Following the ceremony, the wedding party enjoyed a private, sea-farm-to-table feast by Chef Josh Archibald at the Wayfarer Restaurant, just adjacent to the Surfsand.
